Introduction

The internet is currently the largest platform for freedom of information for all users, and especially for users with disabilities. As such, we place great importance on providing equal access to people with disabilities to the information presented on the website and on enabling an improved browsing experience.
We strive to ensure that our digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Therefore, significant resources have been invested to facilitate website usage for individuals with disabilities, as much as possible, based on the belief that every person deserves the right to live with equality, dignity, comfort, and independence.
The accessibility of this website was implemented by the website accessibilitycompany “Nagich BaClick”.
The website complies, as much as possible, with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013. Accessibility adjustments were carried out in accordance with the Israeli Standard (IS 5568) for web content accessibility at AA level, and the international WCAG 2.0 standard.
The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports standard keyboard navigation. For an optimal browsing experience with a screen reader, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA. Responsibility for the use and implementation of accessibility on the website applies to the website owners and/or their representatives, including the content displayed on the website, subject to the software’s terms of useand the company’s privacy policy.

How Accessibility Works on the Website

This website is powered by the accessibility software of Nagich BaClick, operated via a dedicated accessibility server. The software enables the website to comply with WCAG 2.1 guidelines at AA level. The software is subject to the manufacturer’s terms of useand privacy policy, as well as the website owner’s privacy policy.
An accessibility menu is available on the website. Clicking the accessibility button opens the menu with accessibility options. After selecting an option, please wait for the page to reload.

Accessibility Arrangements at the Hotel

 

  • The hotel provides two designated accessible parking spaces for guests with a disabled parking permit, with an accessible route from the parking area to the hotel entrance and guest rooms. Additional parking spaces are available nearby, subject to availability.

  • A seating area is available at the reception desk during check-in or service waiting times.
  • The hotel is included under regulations granting exemption from waiting in line, subject to presenting valid documentation.
  • Guest rooms, dining areas, restaurants, events, and services requiring separate payment or personal allocation (including assigned seating, tables, or specific locations) are not included in companion fee exemptions.
    • Exception: The outdoor swimming pool and hotel spa (excluding treatments) are included in the companion exemption upon presentation of valid documentation at the spa.
  • Accessible restrooms are located on Floor 1, Building B. Elevators to this floor are located to the left of the main entrance.
  • The hotel offers three accessible guest rooms, fully equipped and adapted for non-motorized wheelchairs, including:
    • Room entrance door width: 90 cm
    • Bathroom entrance door width: 82 cm
    • Accessible shower and toilet with grab bars
    • Lowered bed
    • Lighting and air-conditioning switches at a height of 120 cm, with additional bedside controls
    • Adapted closets and cabinets
    • Balcony ramp available upon request
  • All hotel rooms include walk-in showers suitable for guests with limited mobility who do not use a wheelchair.
  • Hotel elevators are equipped with Braille and audio guidance.
  • Seasonal outdoor swimming pool located on Floor 2, Building B, with wheelchair access and pool lift.
  • Shizen Spa Herzliya, located on the SP floor in the Shizen Building, includes an accessible indoor pool and gym.
  • Conference and event halls in Building A (Floor 1) and Building B (Floor 2) are accessible.
    • Access to halls on Floor 2, Building B, is via stairs; a wheelchair lift is available.

Assistive Technologies

 

  • For guests with visual impairments: a RightHear (RH) navigation system is installed throughout the hotel.

  • For guests with hearing impairments: Amplifon hearing assistance devices are available at the reception desk and at Shizen Spa and may be relocated between hotel areas if required.

Service and Assistance Animals

Amendment No. 22 to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (1998)regulates the training and recognition of service dogs.
A service dog is recognized only if trained by an institution approved by the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security. The law prohibits restricting access to public places or services for individuals accompanied by a certified service dog.
Eligible guests include:


  1. Individuals with physical mobility disabilities accompanied by a Mobility Assistance Dog

  2. Individuals with medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, severe allergies, or conditions causing loss of consciousness, accompanied by a Medical Alert Dog
  3. Individuals with intellectual, cognitive, neurological, mental, PTSD, or autism-related disabilities accompanied by a Service Dog adapted to their functional needs
  4. Individuals with hearing impairments accompanied by a Hearing Dog

Conditions and Clarifications

 

  • Advance coordination is required, including submission of service animal certification for the relevant stay period. Guide dogs are exempt from certification requirements.

  • The service animal must wear identifying gear such as a vest or harness.
  • Service animals may not be left unattended in guest rooms.
  • Guests must bring all necessary equipment for the service animal.
  • Guests are responsible for preventing damage to hotel property. Any damage will be charged in full.
  • Full liability for any damage or injury caused rests with the service animal owner.

Guests and Visitors

Hotel staff are available 24/7 to assist with the use of hotel facilities. Guests with special needs are requested to verify the availability of accessible rooms and relevant equipment at the time of booking.

Military Emergency Situations

 

  • In emergency situations, public announcements direct guests to protected areas.

  • Stairwells on each floor serve as protected spaces.
  • In special cases requiring access to shelters on Floor 2 in Buildings A and B, guests will be guided accordingly.
  • Guests requiring staff assistance to reach a protected area must notify reception upon arrival.
  • During wartime, lobby televisions display updated emergency instructions and shelter access information.
